Legend about Dafeng

Once upon a time in the mystical land of Siguniang, four celestial sisters descended from the heavens, their radiant beauty illuminating the valleys. But as fate would have it, an evil force threatened their paradise. The youngest and bravest of the sisters, Dafeng, rose to defend her homeland, transforming herself into a towering peak to stand guard for eternity. Today, climbers honor her courage by ascending the very mountain that bears her name, whispering their own tales of adventure into the crisp mountain air.

Why is Dafeng Special?

Dafeng, standing proudly at 5,025 meters, is often called the "beginner’s 5,000er"—but don’t let that fool you. This peak offers a taste of high-altitude mountaineering with breathtaking panoramic views, stunning glaciers, and an exhilarating summit push. Unlike technical climbs, Dafeng welcomes trekkers who dream of conquering their first big mountain without the need for ice axes and crampons. It’s the perfect mix of challenge, beauty, and high-altitude bragging rights!

Where is Dafeng?

Dafeng is part of the Four Sisters Mountain Range (Siguniangshan) in Sichuan Province, China. Nestled within the Qionglai Mountains, this region is known as the "Alps of the East" due to its dramatic peaks and alpine scenery. Located about 220 km from Chengdu, it’s accessible within a day's drive, yet remote enough to feel like a true escape into the wild.

Ropes might join the party to add a dash of excitement. Brace yourself for weather that's colder than a snowman's ice bath. While having peak climbing experience with crampons and ice axes is like having the keys to a secret mountain club, it's not mandatory — more like having a VIP pass to the frosty festivities!
